Agricultural Consultant

We are hiring an Ag Consultant for our Port Albert Branch! The Agricultural Consultant will be responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, increasing sales profits, and continuously increasing all knowledge of Agriculture, and Sylvite products and services.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Continuously increase your knowledge of agriculture, agronomy, and Sylvite products and services
  • Maintain knowledge of a variety of crops, plant and soil nutrient products, as well as a comprehensive understanding of precision agriculture
  • Ensure outstanding customer service and proactively engage customers in discussing their crop input needs
  • Meet or exceed financial targets through strong individual customer crop plans
  • Accurately capture information in our sales platform (SSI)
  • Bring forward innovative ideas and market intelligence to the Sylvite team
  • Sylvite is committed to ensuring a safe work environment at all times. The Agricultural Consultant is accountable to understand the Company’s health and safety rules and regulations
  • Other duties will be assigned as necessary

Education and/or Training Requirements:

  • Results-oriented and driven to achieve targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills with customers and internal team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and display excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Previous sales and customer service experience is required
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma required – related to agriculture an asset
