Operator DZ Driver - Blenheim

• Agriculture – Sylvite provides a full supply chain solution for crop input products such as fertilizer, seed and pesticides.
• Transportation – The transportation group at Sylvite not only coordinates part of the agricultural supply chain, but also provides logistics services to a large customer base, transporting goods throughout Canada and the United states

Job Responsibilities:

Function:

• Responsible for supporting the operations of the branch/terminal in receiving, handling and shipping crop input products

Site Operations:

• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain professionalism and a customer service attitude towards customers or truck drivers when delivering or picking up products at the branch
• Apply fertilizer to Sylvite customers as directed by the customer and sales team
• Receive trucks (or railcars and vessels where applicable) of fertilizer, seeds, chemicals or other products
• Load trucks with fertilizer
• Make fertilizer blends as directed by the sales team for pick-ups or deliveries
• Deliver fertilizer
• Perform routine maintenance on loading and blending equipment
• Package fertilizer or other dry products as required
• Load packaged products with a forklift as required
• Perform routine clean up and maintenance of the site
• Perform functions as requested by the relevant supervisor

Education, Experience and / or Training Requirements:

• Must have DZ License
• AZ License an asset or the ability to obtain one would be ideal
• Experience in fertilizer blending and handling is an asset, but willing to train
• WHMIS Training an asset
• Forklift certificate an asset
