Packaging and Warehouse Supervisor
We are hiring a Supervisor for our Putnam location! The Supervisor will be responsible for packaging and warehouse operations.
Function
- Responsible for packaging and warehouse operations
- Responsible for training of subordinates, safety and regulatory requirements within areas of responsibility
- Responsible for directing and supporting packaging, bulk receiving and warehouse staff
- Service to internal customers (Product groups, trucking, branch outlets), including general inventory storage, plant security, rail/yard operations and tool and equipment control
- Manage Inventory (inbound) for select customers
Site Operations Management
- Support the development and implement of production, bulk receiving & shipping procedures and processes
- Daily management of Putnam packaging and warehouse operations re: organizing product flow both in/out of terminal
- Supporting the team for hands on support as required
- Support Operations Manager with hiring, dismissing or discipline of employees reporting to this position
- Inform / Report repairs and maintenance as required within the guidelines set out by the Company operating budget
- Daily Shift Reports – Updating Admin and Associates
- Establish goals and standards of performance of each subordinate
- Direct the movement of inventory/product between facilities as required by capacity constraints, inventory levels and/or customer requirements
- Ensure professional service of contracts
- Monitors inventory control system Support cycle counts as requested and annual year end count
- Approve hours and schedule time off within our Payworks system
- Manage a portion of the railcars inbound and realising system / structure
Financial Responsibility
- Communicate required purchases, confirm packing slips for purchased consumables
- Monitor and communicate expected run rates with your subordinates, encouraging the importance of achieving the expected run rates

Education, Experience and/or Training Requirements
- 3+ years in Management Position
- 2+ years in Agriculture or related industry
- Knowledge in all Office Software, particularly Excel
