Accounts Payable Clerk
Sylvite’s wholesale fertilizer and industrial sales division is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our team at our Burlington Head Office. This role plays a vital part in maintaining Ontario’s efficient and reliable supply chain — ensuring products move seamlessly from import to distribution.

About the Role
This position includes providing a full range of administrative support duties and accounts payable which require a thorough understanding of the established functions, policies, and procedures at Sylvite. Being detail-oriented is essential as the position also involves ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, and processing and monitoring outgoing payments.
Job Responsibilities
Primary job duties include:
- Accounts Payable for Sylvite (SSI and SIC divisions)
- Enter all inventory receipts
- Review, match, and enter all vendor invoices pertaining to inventory receipts and other fees. i.e. warehousing, trucking, etc.
- Maintain records for all invoices, reports, and payments
- Process, verify and forward for approval weekly cash disbursements
Additional duties:
- Ensure payable invoices are properly coded and approved
- Reconcile vendor statements vs. open invoices
- Other general office duties as needed and other responsibilities as assigned by management
Education/Experience
- Advanced Excel Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Great Plains or similar software
- Business/Accounting diploma or equivalent experience
