Sylvite’s wholesale fertilizer and industrial sales division is seeking a Business Operations Administrator to lead operations and support our team at our Burlington Head Office. This role plays a vital part in maintaining Ontario’s efficient and reliable supply chain — ensuring products move seamlessly from import to distribution.

About the Role
As the Business Operations Administrator, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of Sylvite’s wholesale fertilizer and industrial business. You’ll manage material flow, coordinate logistics, and lead a small team to ensure operational excellence. You’ll also analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaborate across departments to enhance performance and efficiency.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, optimizing systems, and leading people toward shared goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the movement of imported materials and their distribution across Sylvite’s network.
- Oversee inventory, warehouse, and logistics operations — including the teams supporting these functions.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to generate actionable business insights.
- Support budgeting, pricing, and financial planning activities.
- Partner with internal teams to identify efficiency and growth opportunities.
- Streamline processes to improve operational control and performance.
- Ensure accurate reporting and support internal and external audits.
Education/Experience
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented leader with a focus on driving results.
- 3+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Background in operations, project management, business analysis, or account management (industry experience an asset but not required).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and action.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and levels.
