We are seeking a skilled Lead Operator to join our team in Canada. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission by overseeing operations and ensuring high-quality production standards. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing our operational efficiency and maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

As an Operator at Sylvite, you will play a vital role in our operations by ensuring the efficient use of machinery and equipment. This position is essential to maintaining our commitment to quality and service excellence within the agricultural supply industry.

Function:

• Responsible for supporting the operations of the branch/terminal in receiving, handling and shipping crop input products and grain
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
• Responsible for directing and supporting other yard staff
• Carry out inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues

Site Operations:

• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain professionalism and a customer service attitude towards customers or truck drivers when delivering or picking up products at the branch
• Apply fertilizer to Sylvite customers as directed by the customer and sales team
• Receive trucks (or railcars) of fertilizer, seeds, chemicals or other products
• Load trucks with fertilizer
• Make fertilizer blends as directed by the sales team for customer pick-ups or deliveries
• Deliver fertilizer or assist custom applications
• Perform routine maintenance on loading and blending equipment
• Package fertilizer or other dry products as required
• Load packaged products with a forklift as required
• Perform routine clean up and maintenance of the site
• Perform functions as requested by the relevant supervisor

Education/Experience:

• Forklift (1 year – preferred)
