Frequently Asked Questions
What is an SGN Scale and how does it work?
Why is fertilizer particle size important?
Consistent particle size prevents segregation, ensuring even nutrient distribution across fields, fairways, and greens. Proper sizing reduces uneven application, helping crops and turf receive balanced nutrition for optimal growth.
Which SGN Scale model is right for me?
The right SGN Scale depends on the application. The Agriculture model is ideal for general farm fertilizer blends, while the Fairway model is designed for golf course fairways and large turf areas. For precision applications on golf greens, the Greens model provides the most accurate measurement, while the Specialty model offers versatility across various fertilizer and soil applications. If you’re unsure which model best suits your needs, a Sylvite representative can guide you in making the right choice.
How does SGN measurement support sustainability?
By ensuring proper fertilizer sizing and uniform application, SGN Scales help reduce waste, minimize nutrient runoff, and improve efficiency. This supports sustainable nutrient management practices while helping you get the most value from your inputs.
