Accountant and Office Manager
We are seeking an Accountant & Office Manager to join our Nu-Tec team in Putnam. This role combines hands-on financial leadership with day-to-day office management, providing oversight of financial reporting, planning, cash management, administrative functions, and internal controls for the Nu-Tec business.
Working closely with management and teams across the business, you will play an important role in providing accurate and timely financial information, supporting business decisions, improving processes, and ensuring the effective coordination of Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions.

About the Role
The Accountant & Office Manager is responsible for the financial reporting and accounting activities of the Nu-Tec division while also overseeing key administrative and office functions.
This position manages month-end and year-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, compliance, financial analysis, and internal controls. The role also provides leadership and oversight to the Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions, helping ensure efficient workflows and strong coordination between Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations.

What You’ll Do
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial analysis to support business decisions
- Monitor financial performance, identify variances and trends, and provide recommendations to management
- Oversee cash management, banking activities, and key Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
- Maintain strong accounting controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
- Manage the General Ledger within the Ross ERP system and support improvements to financial processes and systems
- Oversee day-to-day office administration and provide direction to the Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions
- Coordinate workflows and strengthen communication between Finance, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, profitability, and service levels
- Support audits, tax requirements, insurance renewals, contracts, and other business compliance activities
- Provide financial and operational support for business projects, growth initiatives, and strategic priorities
- Perform other accounting, administrative, and special project responsibilities as required
About You
You are an experienced accounting professional who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, business-minded approach. You are comfortable managing financial reporting and controls while also working closely with people across the organization to solve problems, improve processes, and keep day-to-day operations moving effectively.
You bring:
- A completed CPA designation
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities
- Strong systems aptitude and experience working with ERP systems; experience with Ross ERP is considered an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong organizational and self-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- The ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced business environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to establish effective working relationships across departments and levels of the organization
- Previous experience providing oversight, direction, or leadership to administrative or accounting functions is an asset
