Accounts Payable Clerk

About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will support the day-to-day accounts payable functions of Sylvite Agri-Services, with a focus on accurate invoice processing, supplier account reconciliation and weekly payment processing. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate records and support efficient accounting processes.
What You’ll Do
- Receive, verify and enter supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Support the weekly payment process, including verifying payments and forwarding them for approval and processing.
- Gather and review supplier statements, matching invoices against system records and investigating discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements against internal ledgers and resolve outstanding issues.
- Create and update customer records in Agre as requested.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and provide a high level of internal service and support.
- Maintain clear documentation of processes and responsibilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and efficiencies.
- Support the broader Accounting team as required.
About You
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent planning, organization and multitasking skills.
- Able to manage changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service focused with strong interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
